Cosmetic Dentistry Financing at its Best

Cosmetic dentistry is not just for the rich and famous. Tooth whitening, dental veneers, dental implants, inlays or onlays, and tooth colored composite dental fillings are cost effective for most anyone today. For those that are concerned about cosmetic dentistry costs, patient financing has opened the door to justify proceeding with cosmetic dentistry. Even insurance companies have stepped up to the plate to absorb some cosmetic dentistry costs. For example, dental insurance companies today may pay for composite dental fillings at the rate of an amalgam dental filling. Dental insurance companies may cover all or a portion of the costs associated with inlays and onlays. But what about tooth whitening, dental veneers, dental implants and Smile Makeovers? - Tooth whitening is purely a cosmetic dentistry procedure and thus is not covered by dental insurance plans. However, the costs are so reasonable that you probably won’t mind paying for tooth whitening and returning to the dental office for maintenance treatments once or twice a year.
- Dental veneers may be covered by dental insurance if the procedure is required for restorative purposes such as a cracked tooth. Yet, dental insurance may not be likely to cover the costs for crooked or overlapped teeth.
- Dental implant coverage is not typically provided in regular dental insurance plans, but you have the option to obtain separate dental insurance for implants through private companies.

Patient financing is available for people at all economic levels and credit worthiness. Patient financing companies offer no interest and low interest options with rates that may be better than a credit card. Patient financing companies provide both short and long pay back terms to cover the costs of cosmetic dentistry. Approvals for financing are often the same day or within 24 hours.

Debbie Celebrates 20 Years at Austin Dental Spa

Debbie Van Eman celebrated her 20 year anniversary as of one of Austin Dental Spa’s hygienists. She has worked for our Austin Dentist, Dr. Mark for 20 years! Everyone wore T-shirts with a photo of Debbie that read “got dve?”, along big red glasses like the ones she used to wear. We had some cake and some laughs. Everyone at Austin Dental Spa is so happy to have her as a part of our dental family. Thank you Debbie and congratulations.

Contest Winner Update

Remember Brian? The winner of “the Most Interesting Patient in the World” video contests. Brian rapped his way to a smile makeover, and this week his cosmetic dentistry transformation began at Austin Dental Spa.
On Monday, Brian came in for the initial phase of his treatment. Dr. Sweeney prepared his teeth for his new porcelain dental veneers and he also received his temporaries or prototypes. The temporaries are exact replicas of the permanent porcelain veneers which he will receive in a few weeks. Brian loves his temporaries and cannot believe what his smile is going to look like. He also had a some nerve damage repaired in a few teeth on Monday. Today his lower teeth were whitened using Zoom!® Advanced Power™ in-office teeth whitening system. Stay tuned as we’ll be sure to update Brian’s progress during his smile makeover.
